The Women’s Somatics & Feminine Embodiment Training

With Maya Basik

AN INTIMATE AND EMPOWERING JOURNEY DESIGNED TO …

Support you in cultivating a deeper, more embodied and informed relationship with your nervous system, your womb, and your womanhood.

&

Provide you with the tools and experience to integrate more body-led, women-centered, trauma-aware techniques and practices into any form of teaching or facilitation that you do.

The unique constitution of the female body and lived experience of womanhood has been systemically left out of most existing frameworks for, and education around, everything from successful leadership to health & wellness.

It’s left many women with a sense of disconnection and distrust in and from ourselves, and a wildly untapped wellspring of potential for greater healing, fulfillment, and aliveness.

The Mission

We believe that …

  • Rooting back down into the wisdom of the female body

  • Reestablishing trust in sensation, emotion, and subtle body-language cues as crucial sources of information

  • Cultivating a robust sense of safety in the full spectrum what it means to be a woman

  • Learning how to relate to others more deeply and with more grounded presence

Has an impact both in our own lives and in the work we do in the world that is simply immeasurable.

somatic work teaches us how to:

feel safe to feel ourselves,

So THAT WE CAN ACCESS AND INHABIT the full range of our humanness, and hold a safe space for others to do the same.

The Vision

Women in their body – fully inhabiting their sensory experience and informed by a deep trust in the innate wisdom of the soma – are the cornerstone of our entire society.

By first cultivating the safety, freedom, and at-home-ness in our own body that is truly our birthright, and then guiding other women to do the same, we play an integral role in the collective healing our families, communities and planet are so in need of.

The Method :

The organizing principles of our training — fostering deep personal shifts and transformation, which ultimately support your embodied leadership in whatever form that takes.

  • As a society, we are at baseline incredibly overstimulated. Chasing peak experiences and conditioned to prioritize speed, our systems have become backlogged in their processing of both everyday experiences and of trauma. This entire training is structured to support the truth that somatic healing requires space and time, and can often be incredibly subtle. We prioritize integration, and retrain our systems how to feel safe holding both ourselves and others through slow, embodied presence.

  • Both as a student in this training and in the refinement of your facilitation skills, we prioritize a “person-centered” approach that focuses on our humanness first, the tools and modalities second. This allows us, and our students and clients to cultivate our / their own sense of autonomy and choice in and around the healing and learning experience, nurturing a sense of inner-leadership, empowerment, and self-trust.

  • Becoming aware of and speaking to the direct, present moment experience of what's happening in the body gets us in touch with what's really going on -- rather than our mind’s stories and assumptions about it -- so that we can do the deep work (and play!) on whats really asking to be met, known, awakened and healed. Through this work we re-establish the body and it's language as a source of authority in our lives and our facilitation.

  • As a female body’s “center of gravity” both literally and metaphorically, the pelvic bowl including the bones, muscles, reproductive organs AND energetic centers (root and womb) is our greatest access point and ally in returning to and nurturing our relationship with our body and our womanhood. While this training will focus on the entire body as whole, and support a rich understanding of the broader world of somatic healing, we will organize around the truth that the energy, presence, and health of the pelvic bowl ultimately determines our ability to access aliveness, safety, and freedom in every area of life.

About your Teacher

Meet Maya

WOMEN’S EMBODIMENT + EMPOWERMENT MENTOR | WOMEN’S CIRCLE FACILITATOR | SOMATIC EDUCATOR

Integrating trauma-informed nervous system regulation tools with high level coaching and cyclical living education and support, she guides women home to a sense of safety and naturalness in their bodies, from which they are able to live, work, create and relate with greater depth and impact.

Her “person-centered” teaching and facilitation style allows each student and client she works with to feel safe, held, and empowered in their own authority and experience. She seamlessly weaves together both the science (theory) and the spirit (energetics) of this vast field of work.

Through her work she supports women in awakening parts of their body that had previously felt numb or closed, healing from disempowering sexual and birth experiences, bringing deeper meaning to the rites and passages of womanhood, and creating and sustaining soul-led businesses while prioritizing their own wellbeing, and cultivating their own unique expression of self-confidence, self-love, leadership, and sensuality.
