meditation teacher training
Welcome to the Mindfulness School
brought to you by The Sedona House
Learn the foundations of meditation from the science to the spiritual and most importantly develop your own relationship with the practice to truly embody this work to live a more mindful and compassionate life
From that embodied place, if you choose, you will have all of the tools to guide others as a Meditation Teacher through our Teacher Path.
This training is not about getting everything “right” or trying to become a perfect, peaceful person. It’s about learning how to be more present with the reality of being human.
Together, we explore meditation not as a way to escape life, but as a way to meet it more honestly.
Through practice, conversation, reflection, and community, students begin to notice their patterns, reactions, fears, strengths, and the many layers that make up a human life.
From that place, life can start to shift in meaningful ways. The way we speak to ourselves, the choices we make, how we move through relationships, how we respond to stress, and how connected we feel to the world around us.
At its core, this training is simply an invitation to slow down, pay attention, and learn how to be with life a little more fully.
Our Method
With practice we can begin to unravel our clearly defined ideas of who we are and open up to meeting ourselves and our full innate potential as humans in a loving and gentle way.
-
The first part of our method is learning simple techniques that help you become more aware.
Much of our daily life happens on autopilot — our thoughts, habits, reactions, and routines often unfold without us fully noticing. Through meditation and mindfulness practices, students begin strengthening their ability to pause, observe, and pay attention to the present moment.
From there, we can start to become more intentional in the way we relate to ourselves, others, and our everyday lives.
-
As we become more aware, we also learn how to meet what we find with compassion instead of judgment.
Compassion is the understanding that being human is complex, messy, and deeply shared. In this training, we explore practices that help cultivate compassion not as something passive, but as an active choice in the way we relate to ourselves and others.
-
Through awareness and compassion, we begin to create space between ourselves and our habitual ways of thinking, reacting, and moving through life. Instead of living purely on autopilot, we begin to have choice.
From that place, we can grow beyond old patterns and relate to ourselves, others, and life with more understanding, intention, and care.

About your Teacher
Meet Amanda
Amanda is a meditation and yoga teacher trained in Traditional Buddhist Teachings, Kundalini Kriya Yoga, and Vinyasa Yoga.
She brings a deeply embodied, heart-centered approach to her classes, guiding students to cultivate presence, awareness, and inner ease. Her teaching meets people where they are — whether on the meditation cushion, in the boardroom, or navigating the unfiltered messiness of everyday life.
